What it is like to be an ADULT human.

For those of you still bent on supporting him - here's my plea. Nobody cares about won or lost now. This stuff has gotten out of  control. Russian influence ... personal business profits from the office of the President. Ignorance and dismissal of the judges and courts in our country - and most of all - blatant trampling of the Constitution -- it is absolutely okay to admit that you got tricked with your vote. It's okay -- many of you did and I am going to  assume that you voted with your heart - but I am begging you to use your brain and see that supporting this administration is literally the end of the middle class lifestyle.

This guy says what I have been trying to say -- but very pointedly:

See the graphic below - please. And - why is this acceptable behavior with our tax dollars? How does this get us out of debt? How does this pay for that freaking wall that all of you think we need  so much? He's literally on track to spend more as president in four months as Obama did in 8 years? And -- all you will say is "but he didn't take the salary!" Yeah numb skull - that salary is 400,000 - which he spent yesterday storing his kept woman in New York.

Here's the way I see it.

It seems that most of us have lost the ability to be honest, mature and human. It seems that lies, religious smoke screens, violence, narcissism and greed have replaced honest human morals, adult maturity and values.

Here's what I hear now from people when I run into them in public.

"Hey, how are you doing? How's your mom and dad? How's work? You guys still doing X?"

Fast forward two hours.

The same person that was so super nice posts something 'related to the political nightmare' blatantly hateful and uninformed on social media about some topic that really doesn't even matter in relation to public or global policy. Then all  the loud keyboard heroes chime in too. Then, in the exact same thread they will talk about church this and love that. I believe technology has turned the people that are incapable of handling real emotion and logic into  schizophrenics.

I guess I am a little different. As a matter of my personality - I am the same person no matter where I am or with whom I am talking. That is called being an honest human. If you have to pretend to be someone you are not given the situation; you are either in the wrong situation or lying to yourself. Why put us and yourself through such turmoil? People in turmoil make poor life choices. I guess that's how we arrived where we have.

I am also aware that part of this phenomenon are probably a "southern niceties" issue that has existed for years. It's just on steroids now that the "leader" has opened the door to allow them to act on their every emotion. The real crux is that not only does everyone have a "stage" on which to perform many of them are incapable of handling the responsibilities of said stage.

Yes, I have this little stage here and I realize that I am contradicting myself a little. Here's the thing though - I bother myself with doing RESEARCH on issues not just spewing garbage that pundits scream about on the idiot box.

A real set of leaders that have the interest of the people and the country at heart do NOT act the way these folks are acting. I honestly believe it is all a ploy to distract us from their real goal.  The Koch brothers and their OLD super rich buddies have one goal in mind.  They are working on a constitutional rewrite. The world they want will condone / encourage hate and violence. Their new world is bent on "RULING"  by destroying the middle class and thus giving the corporate giants ALL the power. If you thought the Washington Lobby was bad - wait until that happens.

These "jobs" he keeps talking about - you wait -they will be miserable pay with absolutely no benefits which will means you will be buying your healthcare without employee sponsored help, you will have no vacation time and forget about holidays too. Don't laugh. You don't think for one second that if we tell the corporate machine that it is acceptable to remove these benefits that  they won't? I've worked in too many corporations where they literally cry rivers of tears when they talk about how much they have to pay to insurance companies to sponsor health benefits. They are already trying to guilt the employees who are giving AT LEAST 44 hours per week of their lives to increase corporate profits that it is our fault that they are having to "pay so much money" for our benefits. BULLSHIT! You greedy pricks and your even greedier prick stock holders can stick it where the sun doesn't shine. Outside of this issue ... and to compound the problem -  the inflation on goods and services will go through the roof because the profit mongers will REFUSE to lower prices to offset the manufacturing costs.

So you will get some abortion relief (which will turn into women committing suicide by trying to abort in the back seat of a car) and you'll get to keep your guns until they rewrite the constitution. You must understand they do not have the common person's interest at heart at all and are just using us for one or two final votes so that they can say "well, you gave us the power with these elections".

Repeat after me .... " Thank you for the anarchy cheese brought to you by Koch Trump Industries. Now I will get back to work so that you can have the "best" gold plated bidet in the world".

Making America Great Again requires work on both sides Orangina. Buckle up and do your big boy work. This is not a reality show jerkwad. You have an entire country and a fair portion of the world to govern. You are now a public servant. Until you rewrite the constitution you and your "friends" are bound to uphold the rules within it.  Firing people on a whim and signing executive orders is not governing a republic. That is a dictatorship. What's next? You going to stab Senator McCain on Meet the Press? Et tu Cheeto?

Get used to seeing stuff like this ... which is a bit odd to think about a company like Harley not wanting to deal with protesters.

Trump trip canceled; Harley-Davidson wasn't comfortable with likely protests

...and stuff like this:

Immature, childish, whiny and entitled President Trump is expected to sign two directives on Friday, ordering a review of financial industry regulations known as Dodd-Frank and halting implementation of a rule that requires financial advisers to act in the best interests of their clients, according to a senior administration official who briefed reporters on condition of anonymity.

Trump himself made his intentions clear in a meeting with small business owners Monday. "Dodd-Frank is a disaster," Trump said. "We're going to be doing a big number on Dodd-Frank."

A) This highlights who he really cares about protecting.
B) This is not the language and attitude we should DEMAND from our elected officials. You might call this "straight talk" I call it a 70 year old man who was never required to grow up. If you are still cheering this man on at this point - look in the mirror and make sure you like what you see. If you do then okay.  If you finally have an epiphany that this should not be the leader of the free world and admit you fell for it - then stand up and do something about it.

You voted them in. I am done complaining. I tried. You read it here. Remember that. If I end up wrong about all of this ... then great. If I am right - it will not matter what I typed anyway.

Bring it on Bannon

Bring it on Bannon. I'm sitting right here you extremist idiot.

I can say that because all of us that are actually interested in continuing our country believe in the constitution.

Crawl back into the hole from which you slithered. Blasted idiot.

Wake up people. I am going to keep typing that. We are in a slumber and we are allowing the swamp to grow rather than drain it.

Oh -- and the Orange Titty Baby is still upset about his low turn out. Live in the past much dumbass?

Trump pressured Park Service to find proof for his claims about inauguration crowd

Sidebar: Idiot comments like this make me angry.

Here's a clueless douchebag who voted in an "outsider" for reasons like "don't tread on me" and "I have the right to bear arms". Notice at the end - still claiming 'victory" after nearly 3 months.

And I quote:

"Typical. White people? Really? Get a clue, it wasn't white people, it was ANGRY white people sick of a leftist agenda that has been telling us we should be ashamed of who we are, because we were born white! It was ANGRY black people tired of the cycle of being fed the same crap from the Democrat party just to be forgotten until you need a vote again. It was rural America! Sick of a political system that has been dragging us down for the past 8 years. Tired of being blamed for the shortcomings of others. We didn't run to our clubhouse and hold secret meetings on who to vote for, we grew weary over time, enough is enough!! So we embraced an outsider, not part of the political elite, like HRC is...err whom might have been brash and forthcoming in his speech but said what we have been thinking for years! The establishment tried to destroy him, from both sides, with lies and sound bytes that were taken out of context and designed to make OUR CANDIDATE look bad. That only solidified our stance. We came out of rural America, where the press forgot who we are, and we did what EVERY AMERICAN has a RIGHT to do, we voted. You forgot how many of us are out here. We love freedom, we love our guns, and we love God! You learned who the real majority is. We put up with 8 years of your idea of what should be running our country, an angry man with a socialist agenda, who taught you to forget who we are. Newsflash! You might have forgotten us, but we didn't forget about you. We saw right through you and your agenda of enslaving us, under the guise of doing something for us! I doubt seriously we let you silence us and put us on the backburner again. Your candidate lost, get over it. Step back and look at who she really was, liar, murderer, thief, amongst other things. We vote again in 4 years, you will probably remember who we are then..."

A logical and sane rebuttal to this Nationalistic and narrow focus regurgitated Faux news opinion.

1) No one here in the 'middle' is shaming you. Fox News is telling you the country is shaming you for who you are. Walk outside and honestly talk with people and not at them and you will hear the truth.

2) The Democrats have taken the wrong line on many issues but, again, you are listening to slanted news that blows those lines way out of proportion to the reality of the matters.

3) No one is blaming you for other people's shortcomings. That's on you. Or maybe you are awesome. I don't know you so I refuse to make that judgement. Try that sometime.

4) Worse -- You picked an outsider who IS AN ELITIST and his ego far exceeds any normal person's self love. Even though I believe he is flat broke, he has always run in the circles of the upper crust. How does that represent you? Unless, you are like him in ego or earnings. Just because he uses simple and hateful words does not mean he actually supports you.

5) I've watched as much video of Orangina as I can. I am watching FULL video not snippets. The guy does not have your interests in line. He contradicts himself constantly and my theory is that he doesn't even know he is doing it.

6) Obama had no socialist agenda. He cared for all people. Fox News told you he was a socialist and you bought it because in your heart you are a racist and were willing to believe anything other than race would make him "evil". By the way - your boy Trump loves Putin who is the leader of Russia. They might be a communist country. I'm not sure. Let me go research that.  Yep- found it. Trump is buddies with one of the biggest communists in the world. For the record - communism is the final step beyond socialism.

7) If you love freedom why did you vote for a guy who is bent on having all the power? This was clear on the campaign trail and is becoming even more evident now that he has taken office.

8) You can love God. I'm good with that. Loving God means that you love and help others. Loving God means that you are willing and ready to give everyone a chance. Loving God has nothing to do with voting in a dictator. Please for the love of said God separate those two things. Trump is his own God and you are not even in his mirror. In fact, here's a prediction ... freedom of religion might be under fire in his administration. Pence is really the only person protecting that and he's protecting it for the reasons of power and votes ... not out of love.

9) You better love guns. That might be the only means you have to defend yourself against Trump's power play. Fast forward a few years when your money is gone and your wages amount to some government cheese and a vitamin pill per month.

10) Your majority has been misled by a power hungry 1% that manipulated you into believing a few things that motivated you. Fox News is owned by a 1% that only cares about ratings and controlling people like you. Look beyond the paid pundits if possible to see the real motives. The powerful never look back but they know you do ... "Make America Great Again" was a slogan to make you look backward to what always appears to be "better times" when in reality they were just as bad - they just had a different flavor.

11) Let go of the murderer stance. There's no proof. She made choices. Something that people in high positions have to do. What you don't know is that those decisions might have been in defense of a larger issue. You are classically narrow minded.

12) All people in power are caught in lies. Idiot. Your boy has been caught in several lies in the last week. Oh -- and filing fake bankruptcies by creating shell companies is not "smart business" it is a lie that is usually punishable by prison time -- unless your daddy buys you out of that.

13) You won't vote again in 4 years because there will be no voting if you boy has his way. Your freedom will be gone and Trump will be your dictator.

Consider this ... before your next slanderous "But we won" comment.

If I read "elitist butthurt libtard" one more time I literally might pass away. Keep in mind, I have four jobs and contribute greatly to the economy - so yes, it might be of some significance if I pass away. Or - you may not care since you are bent on supporting Darth Trump. "One less libtard." If that's your stance you probably didn't make it to this sentence.
It really isn't about winning an election - it's about putting people in power that will actually continue or enhance the middle class lifestyle we all want.
Get over yourselves. Get over competition. We are over here on the other side researching and watching what the GOP is doing to our laws and our programs and none of those things favor the "middle class".  Look with your own damn eyes (I AM BEGGING YOU TO REALLY LOOK) at what these corporate greed mongers want to do and are doing to our country while you are distracted by Chief Cheeto and his tiny twitter thumbs.

Joe gets up at 6 a.m. and fills his coffeepot with water to prepare his morning coffee. The water is clean and good because some tree-hugging liberal fought for minimum water-quality standards.
With his first swallow of coffee, he takes his daily medication. His medications are safe to take because some stupid commie liberal fought to insure their safety and that they work as advertised.
All but $10 of his medications are paid for by his employer's medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance - now Joe gets it too. He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs. Joe's bacon is safe to eat because some girly-man liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry.
In the morning shower, Joe reaches for his shampoo. His bottle is properly labeled with each ingredient and its amount in the total contents because some crybaby liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained. Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some environmentalist wacko liberal fought for laws to stop industries from polluting our air. He walks to the subway station for his government-subsidized ride to work. It saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees because some fancy-pants liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor.
Joe begins his work day. He has a good job with excellent pay, medical benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some lazy liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Joe's employer pays these standards because Joe's employer doesn't want his employees to call the union.
If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed, he'll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some stupid liberal didn't think he should lose his home because of his temporary misfortune.
It's noontime and Joe needs to make a bank deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe's deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some godless liberal wanted to protect Joe's money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the Great Depression.
Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae-underwritten mortgage and his below-market federal student loan because some elitist liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his lifetime.
Joe is home from work. He plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive. His car is among the safest in the world because some America-hating liberal fought for car safety standards. He arrives at his boyhood home. His was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers' Home Administration because bankers didn't want to make rural loans. The house didn't have electricity until some big-government liberal stuck his nose where it didn't belong and demanded rural electrification.
He is happy to see his father, who is now retired. His father lives on Social Security and a union pension because some wine-drinking, cheese-eating liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn't have to.
Joe gets back in his car for the ride home, and turns on a radio talk show or Fox News. The radio host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. He doesn't mention that the beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day.
Joe agrees: "We don't need those big-government liberals ruining our lives! After all, I'm a self-made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have."

Alternative Fact Specialists

Alternative Facts. Do you understand the absurdity of that phrase?

A fact was iron clad when I was growing up. A fact was like math to me --- 2+2 = 4 and so on. A fact was something on which I could rely.

I suppose the new truth is actually lying about facts. I do not understand what happened to the world. I know it has been happening for a while. I guess all it took was to give some nonsensical "trust funders", crooks, religious posers, etc. the keys to the kingdom so that we could all just watch as they piss away everything.

Giving away national park land for a few measly bucks in 2017 is so short sighted that it makes my brain hurt in a way that I've never hurt before. These "f-ing asshats" do not care about their kids or your kids. They just want power and control right now. Not to mention that most of them are only a few years away from a dirt nap anyway.

So which is it you assholes ... are you giving the land away or are you not? You are the ones creating the fake news by waffling and using "alternative facts".

Here's one dumbass angle

Here's another dumbass angle

Somebody somewhere with a loud voice MUST stand up to this shit or we are all going to be in the cheese line sooner than I thought.

Literally no one is telling the truth right now and that is by design. They want civil war. That's how the powerful get more power -- diminishing the numbers in the name of their cause.

How  and why did these people get into power?  What have they said to convince you they deserve to do all this damage to your country? Getting rid of national parks is about the FURTHEST thing from patriotic. Getting rid of funding for PBS -- is them getting rid of an educational outlet for your kids and grand kids.

You voted these people in. Now do something to tell them they are wrong. All this is not worth a few 8 dollar an hour car assembly line jobs -- which will mostly be someone pushing buttons and watching robots anyway.

And we need that damn wall like we need a hole in our head.

This is so ludicrous.

Good job us. I'm so proud and impressed with our choice of "leadership".

PS -- Since this is SOOOOOO important to Trump's ego ... I am registered to vote in at least five states right now and I drove around to all of them on election night to write in Pauly Shore for President.

Executive Order Abuse

Regardless if the laws on the books are outdated or incorrect the signing of multiple Executive Orders in your first week on the job means that you are and want to  be a dictator.

Wake up folks.

Without checks there is no balance of power.  Without balance there is dictatorship. We should never believe that one person holds all the knowledge ... no matter how many times they tell us they are the smartest person in the world.

I'm almost out of words ...

I don't have to type much more here. He's proving my points faster than I can make them.

1) Shut up about the election. You won. Grow up already.

2) If I read another line from folks about Social Security being a "government handout" I am going to rip my face off my skull. That is NOT a government hand out and I am guessing a fair amount of you that are saying this are either on Social Security or Medicare or both. When he guts these programs do NOT come crying to anyone because you do not understand anything about how all this stuff works.

3) I have read so much over generalizing lately that it is very indicative of the condition of our country. If you say or type things like : "All _________ are lazy." --OR-- "All _________ voters are _________. : Then you are likely a short-sighted jerk with no idea about how the world works.

"Liberals", "Libtards", "Repubtards" ... whatever you call "the 'bad guys' has to stop.  I have a full time job and three part time jobs. Call me lazy. Fine. Come on over for a day or two of work and see if you can hang with me. Then, if you beat me or even keep up you can attach a label to my existence. Otherwise just sit on your couch and count your blessings right now - because they are about to get fewer over the next year or so.

And for the record - this whole "Hillary supporter" excuse for people who are not supporting Orange Guy is old and tired. People who refuse to accept his behavior are not necessarily Hillary supporters. We are just confused as to how his behavior is seen as acceptable or presidential.

The controlling rich are winning the war. They are your puppet master.

Who's in charge, really?

Some information on Global Politics

Trump is on his way to really making the mistakes that I predicted he would make.

So with his proclamation that NATO is obsolete and that we are going to pull out of the UN ... without any facts or reasons ... I thought I would do us the favor to research and post what every other president in United States history already knew that I suspect the Orange Menace does not know.

The United Nations or UN is a replacement of the League of Nations. It was founded in 1945 after World War II. So the United Nations is an organization of 192 countries that aim to stop wars and give countries a stage to have conversations about issues that need to be resolved. If one of the most important members of the UN wants to pull out of the UN the only real reason they would want to pull out is if they want or are planning war. The super powerful and chronologically advanced waspy people still believe that WAR = WEALTH. I submit that it is no longer true. We've had several conflicts since WWII and none of them have produced the excess that WWII produced in the American economy. In fact, the last set of conflicts put the country in a massive tailspin from which we are still struggling to recover.  It's a both a huge and very elementary mistake to pull out of the UN. If this topic arises in conversation -- do the research and send the message with the correct information. War no longer means wealth. Move on. It's not 1946 any more. "Keep America Divided Still." Like it or not this is a very connected world now and we cannot put that cat back in the bag. Deal with it.

NATO is the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. NATO is an intergovernmental military alliance that has its substratum on the North Atlantic Treaty signed on 4 April 1949. There are 28 countries in NATO.

Chief Cheeto Fingers says this alliance is obsolete. So, in a world where ISIL (ISIS) is infiltrating many countries and have many "centralized" operations on the globe Trump thinks it is a good idea for the US to pull out of NATO? Is this what Putin wants us to do? How is having alliances in 2017 an obsolete idea? Trump, you love reality TV shows so this is something you should understand - alliances protect and conquer situations far more often than a lone wolf.

So is this centered on Putin and Russian preferences? These world organizations are far from perfect - but being at the table is essential for our continued progress against people being dicks in the name of some bastardized form of religion.

OR - is this the crusades? Did Putin invent a time machine for Donny? Did we go back to the 1200s? Are we going to turn Istanbul back into Constantinople? Come on folks. The middle east is a mess. It is their mess. We need to take our OIL interest and go elsewhere. Like Solar, Wind, Water ... or the many other ways to achieve rather than "the American giant gas guzzling SUV dream." Are we a country of Zionists? Is this Pence driving this NATO and UN mess so that we can go full bore into Israel and start something we cannot finish?

A very short snippet about Zionism in the United States

The General Assembly of the National Council of Churches in November 2007 approved a resolution for further study which stated that the "theological stance of Christian Zionism adversely affects:"

-- justice and peace in the Middle East, delaying the day when Israelis and Palestinians can live within    secure borders
-- relationships with Middle Eastern Christians (see the Jerusalem Declaration on Christian Zionism)
-- relationships with Jews, since Jews are seen as mere pawns in an eschatological scheme
-- relationships with Muslims, since it treats the rights of Muslims as subordinate to the rights of Jews
interfaith dialogue, since it views the world in starkly dichotomous terms"

The Reformed Church in America at its 2004 General Synod found "the ideology of Christian Zionism and the extreme form of dispensationalism that undergirds it to be a distortion of the biblical message noting the impediment it represents to achieving a just peace in Israel/Palestine."

The Mennonite Church published an article that referenced what is called the ongoing illegal seizure of additional Palestinian lands by Israeli militants, noting that in some churches under the influence of Christian Zionism the "congregations 'adopt' illegal Israeli settlements, sending funds to bolster the defense of these armed colonies." As of September 2007, churches in the USA that have criticized Christian Zionism include the United Methodist Church, the Presbyterian Church (USA), and the United Church of Christ.

The film With God On Our Side, by Porter Speakman Jr. and Kevin Miller (the latter of whom also co-created the film Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed), criticizes both the underlying theology behind Christian Zionism as well as its negative influence on the church.

Some Christian Zionists interpret the prophetic texts as describing inevitable future events, and these events primarily involve Israel (taken to mean the descendants of the Biblical patriarch Jacob) or Judah (taken to mean the remaining faithful adherents of Judaism). These prophecies are seen as requiring the presence of a Jewish state in the Holy Land, the central part of the lands promised to the Biblical patriarch Abraham in the Covenant of the pieces. This requirement is sometimes interpreted as being fulfilled by the contemporary state of Israel.

- above from Wikipedia -

The founding fathers were religious. They did talk about the Jews in Israel. I do not believe that they would have our people and resources go  there to fight for some Zionist view that is likely a disguise for the real deal "control the area to control all the oil."

On Nuclear Waste in Big Coal Country -

So we are going to waste our money on TRYING to make mining coal safer and more efficient? Really? There was a reason and a plan for realigning the hard hit coal areas. We had plans to revamp the coal workers and their families education and give them some new industries to have success within ... like Solar and Wind.  Instead we are going to mine these areas further - deregulate environmental protocols - then contaminate the waters -  then dump our old nuclear waste into  the hollowed out mines and FURTHER contaminate our waters and soils to where we can literally produce or use nothing. Sounds like a great plan. Sarcasm.

Pay attention. None of this mess is about 2000, 20000 or 200000 manufacturing jobs in some random locations in the United States. So far there have been several lies attached to each glimpse of truth from this guy and his cabinet choices. It's certainly not about big media lying about the truth. There are larger and scarier things at play and they are not being discussed because we are too dumb to pay attention.

The customer survey

I've taken part in more customer survey efforts than I can count. It is an easy way to get a general pulse of your customer base. While never "wholly" scientific it can give great information. Each survey I have ever built, managed and reported on revealed valuable information.

Let's say this poll has a + or - 20% margin of error ... which does not happen. Donald Trump will become president Friday with an approval rating of just 40%, according to a new CNN/ORC Poll, the lowest of any recent president and 44 points below that of President Barack Obama, the 44th president.

But rather than own some of his missteps, he just uses the crutch of "fake news".
"The same people who did the phony election polls, and were so wrong, are now doing approval rating polls. They are rigged just like before."
I've had some good executives as bosses. I have had some executives with some challenges too. I have never had a boss that blatantly ignores reality in such a black or white way. I've failed at a couple of jobs myself and when I realized that I was the reason for the poor feedback or survey results, I grew some balls, admitted my shortcomings and invited my staff to dive in and help while I found a  suitable replacement for me in my role.

How about this Donald? What if you actually stop tweeting for a day or two, put your ego aside and talk with some advisory staff about what is missing from your actions and your overall demeanor? You don't have to be our friend. Hell, we don't really have to like you. The American people just want someone that protects what is ours and provides a clear path for good sound policies to happen. The American people want the president to appear more qualified for the role. We should never watch a news conference and feel like we are more qualified to do the job than the president. It does not instill confidence.

As it stands right now you are dividing and angering at a much higher rate than you are bringing us together. Running a country is tough. I know you have shell shock over  the demands  of the job. We all saw you freak out a few times when someone asked you a tough question that you weren't prepared to answer.

Bonus Rant: I've personally never "Tweeted". I have a Twitter account simply to work with testing for integrating web sites with customer twitter feeds. When twitter popped on the scene I said two things: 1) SMS messaging is already old technology - 140 characters is very limiting and so it will get abused and misused. 2) Not everyone is qualified to have a "world" audience. I am not sure it is a good idea for people to be able to spew words quickly and without full consideration.

What I did NOT foresee is that Twitter would hold on long enough to be the SCUD Missile equivalent in American politics ... "Dangerous enough but neither accurate or reliable."

Don't parrot. Do research or do not type or vote. It's all fake news anyway, right?

If you have ever said this type of thing in the quote below or let someone get away with saying it I am here to shed a little objective light on these words. These words are given by pundits that get paid for both TV ratings and likely get paid by certain lobbyists to skew votes in favor of their corporation.

Example of a hateful and patently incorrect paragraph - and as is my "MO" - I left it the way it was written:
"I think Obama is a lazy horrible excuse for a president. He’s playing golf while our citizens are being killed. He holds a press conference for some thug who got shot because he assaulted a police officer, yet I don’t see any press conference about Christians being slaughtered, or Jews being killed for anti-Semitic reasons. He’s a schmuck and the ONLY reason that he was elected the first time was bc he’s black, and either black people voted for him or white people didn’t wanna seem racist. And the reason he’s still president is because of voter fraud. I’d LOVE to see them require id’s for votes, bc I guarantee he wouldn’t still be around."

I did some research. I encourage you to do the same.

On Voter Fraud:

The comments about voter fraud are completely baseless. Between 2000 and 2010, out of 649 million votes, there were thirteen cases of legitimate voter fraud found. That’s barely one per year. Yet this language would swear right to your face that the only reason President Obama was re-elected was because of rampant voter fraud.

On the killing of Christians and Jews by ISIS.

ISIS targets everyone that is not part of their movement. To single out a group is not only incorrect it is purposely misleading. ISIS kills Muslims that are not extremists. That's their whole point.

Lazy? Really? You don't have to love Obama. You can disagree. I do not understand the lazy remarks. We all know how much vacation time W spent in Crawford TX and I guess we were okay with that time, right?

Killing cops and thugs.

This is just an incitement remark to make Obama seem like he was "happy" that the black thug killed the white cops. Get your heads on right people. There are BAD people and there are GOOD people. Which side are you on? Obama cannot address each and every tragic event that happens in the United States.

Don't parrot what the pundits spew. You are falling for it. They are controlling you and therefore all of us because of the short sighted influence they input into the voting process.

In closing.

Please remember the pundits screaming irrationally at the camera (on both sides) are only there to protect the giant corporations ... which includes the huge corporations for which they work.

I understand we are all busy. I have at least four jobs myself. But if you cannot take the time to do your own reading and research please do us all a favor and stop perpetuating the giant corporate machine by spewing misinformation or casting a half educated vote.

The following information has been fact checked. Take an objective look at this data. There are flaws in Obama's record - but I fear that the Orange Menace will have it in for the poor and middle class Americans.

If you are a voter you have the responsibility to understand the whole picture - not just what the powers that be want you to spew.

This is the kind of misinformation that is dividing us even further. Folks, look around. The parties have changed lines in the past 200 years. If you are willing to ignore the facts within this shift then we will continue to divide.

Do not proliferate messages like this infographic below please - while these likely are facts for the times in which they happened - they are not relevant to the current party structures. And no one who has an objective point of view should be told to keep quiet.

Everyone is falling for all this noise. "Fake news this." "Golden showers that." "CNN is terrible." "Fox News is credible." "But Hillary lost and I won and all the negativity is them being sore losers."

No sir. It's this simple. We are watching you. Hillary is old news at this point with all the other stuff circulating around. If you understood, cared or paid attention you would realize even some of your bigly supporters are sort of nervous about your rants, behaviors and all around non-presidential attitude.

And do not misunderstand me. All of my ranting is about the lack of focus in the circles of those who decide public policy. That does include US as voters. That said - none of my ramblings are about intolerance toward people. I do have an issue with folks that are excusing Trump's behavior and / or sweeping his glaring personal flaws aside under the guise of "give him chance." My favorite is this ... "The Obama's represented our country very well as a family BUT we had to put up with him as a weak president for eight years. He needs to go back to whatever country he came from."  Wow. Contradictions - trust me, I understand them. Believe me when I say I am not trying to be  intolerant of someone's personal religious beliefs. I am not saying that "you're idiots" or "I'm awesome". I am BEGGING us to introspect if at all possible and figure  out if the president elect is actually mentally fit and capable of running a country based on his behavior in his life and especially during this past year or two of media attention. I know from my own experience the good folks of Western Kentucky would NOT do business with a man like Trump. The local values are strong. I do not know why his national stage makes his behavior, his business dealings and his over all narcissistic attitude acceptable.

Seriously folks - none of the stuff that he or the media are talking about are legitimate state issues.
  • Let's talk about them making us pay for a wall that we cannot afford.
  • Let's talk about this upside down trade deficit that we were told he would fix.
  • Never mind the continued confusion about the conflicts of interest with his business and just how deeply he is going to tie us to Putin and the Russians.
  • What about Syria? What about Iran? What about China building a 2 mile long and 2 mile wide island in the south pacific to house military activities?
  • Let's talk about the plan to fix the health care system that does not make the rich richer and the poor and under insured suffer.
  • Let's talk about these "jobs" that will probably end up being minimum wage for all skilled trades.
  • Let's talk about the fabric of the country crumbling in the wake of all this childish nonsense.
If I can read this stuff that is real and relevant - you can too. DO NOT FALL FOR ALL  THIS NOISE. We are better than this as a country. Where have our values gone?

I read this gem from a no name supporter: I left the typos to protect the original author.

The problem with your logic is that Obama has userped the Constitution, spoken out against civil rights (I know you are going to blow a gasket because you think "civil rights" means being nice to black people) and in the name of political correctness villainized millions of Americans. Trump hasn't done anything but be Trump. The left hasn't any idea why they hate him other than celbrities say he is bad. But I do wonder; If Russia helped Trump, how did Hilalry win the popular vote? And how did they know what states needed help?

Life is NOT a reality TV show.

If the above message does not disturb us then shame on all of us. This is clearly from a person regurgitating a  message from some pundit that has no idea what actually happened over the last eight years. DO NOT SPREAD HOKUM LIKE THIS PLEASE. It's not about left or right people. It's about calling a spade a spade. If YOU do not see why this person is unfit to be a president of ANYTHING then I guess that summarizes our future experience.

You are giving away what little power you had left based on two or three wedge issues ... two of which are NOT public policy issues for running a government.

We are completely focused on the WRONG things here people.

In the past folks would have screamed "impeach him"

The People in Charge Need to be Fair, Consistent and Balanced

On Wednesday morning, it was revealed that Senator John McCain was the one who gave the 35-page dossier to the FBI alleging Trump paid for sexual acts.

Senator McCain (R-Arizona) issued a public statement on his website confirming his delivery of the intelligence report — which is believed to have been compiled by a former British MI6 officer — to FBI director James Comey.

“Late last year, I received sensitive information that has since been made public,” McCain said in a public statement. “Upon examination of the contents, and unable to make a judgement about their accuracy, I delivered the information to the Director of the FBI. That has been the extent of my contact with the FBI or any other government agency regarding this issue.”

President-elect Trump has seen a two-page synopsis of the report, according to CNN. It’s unclear whether or not the FBI showed him the paragraphs alleging that Russian operatives captured video of the President-elect paying prostitutes ...

Its not the act - its the pending cover up and the overall approach

I could care less what this or any other clown does in their personal life because when they are "normal" citizens it does not effect me. Except ...

The president is watched by your children. Is Trump a guy that you want your children to emulate?  If you were Trump's mother would you be proud of the way he is handling the media attention? Even if this is a fake "persona" he's created - it is NOT a persona that I want as the leader of my country. If you could sleep at night with this guy as your son, then I guess you have different values than I do. Perhaps your values are based in bullying or blatant hatefulness? Perhaps your values are based in "the American way" where the American way is step on whomever you need to in order to get ahead. I do not think this way.

Everything that is negative about him is "fake" and everything that  bolsters his rep and ego is "great" and "yuge".

I wish I could apply that logic with paying my bills or doing my work.

"Oh, that  bill is fake. I don't pay fake bills." "It's not my job to teach that 3D Printing course. It's an online course and online courses are fake."

From Senator Mike Lee -- The government is raiding YOUR Social Security

How does THIS "Make America Great Again"?

This proves all my ranting. They (both parties) literally do not care about people. It's all about control and power.

Let's be real here - both parties and several presidents have been"spend happy" for a while now. It is both sides. Heck, we even see it in our LOCAL governments in the middle of Western Kentucky. Folks stealing taxpayer dollars to build basketball courts, horse barns, houses, etc. I do not understand. Is public service now a code word for organized crime?

Last night while you were sleeping the Senate voted to steal $150 billion dollars from the Social Security Trust Fund. I joined 34 of my colleagues in a vote to prevent this raid.

Just remember, a vote to raid social security in the middle of the night in a desperate attempt to perpetuate an unsustainable spending addiction isn't a sign of strength. It is a sign of weakness.

The Donald. What have we elected and why are we supporting him for ANYTHING?

The Election is Over. I get it.  That's not what this is about.

I am merely documenting what we ALL need to be on the lookout for as we go into 2017 and have to deal with this mess for at least the next four years. I was revamping what I started researching on Trump when they made him the GOP's candidate of choice. I have a real problem with each of these on the list. There are more too.

Update 1/11/17 --

Reporter: Will you release your tax returns to prove what you're saying about no deals in Russia?
Trump: Well, I'm not releasing the tax returns, because as you know, they're under audit.
Reporter: But every president since the '70s has
Trump: Gee, I've never heard that. I've never heard that before. You know, the only one that cares about my tax returns are the reporters, OK?
Reporter: You don't think the American public is concerned about that?
Trump: No, I don't think so. I won. I mean, I became president. No, I don't think they care at all.
I think you care. I think you care. First of all, you learn very little from a tax return. What you should do is go down to federal elections and take a look at the numbers. And actually, people have learned a lot about my company, and now they realize my company is much bigger, much more powerful than they ever thought.
---- This just proves my point further. He's still on the whole "I won" thing. I do not know many people that aren't interested in seeing his tax returns. And having done taxes for several businesses myself I know that they ARE very revealing, especially if they are done correctly and you are going for every write off that even feels like a deduction.

One time - not too long ago - Trump - on video promised to release his tax returns if he decided to run for office.

I cannot believe this person is going to be the president of the United States. I read this transcript. There is very little in this speech of real content and there's certainly a whole lot of speech that feels like more division and megalomania (a person who is obsessed with their own power.)

More Trumpgressions:

a) He structures business deals so that he has to pay no tax at all.
My commentary: I do not like paying extraneous taxes ... but let's face it, without a tax structure     we would have no infrastructure because people are either paycheck to paycheck OR too greedy to contribute to the cause.
b) He gives no charitable donations at all.
My commentary: See my commentary on a) above.
c) His companies have declared bankruptcy six times.
My commentary: These businesses of his are complex. I understand that. He gets in over his head. What he does not understand is how complex running an entire country will be. You can't just gold plate everything and then go "but where did the 1 Billion Dollars from V.Putin go?" Of course, if he comes to Kentucky he can now save some up front money because we are now a Right to Work state. It will still bite him in the end though because the lower wages, lack of training and high turnover rates will cost the organizations way more money in the end. So stupid. I'm looking at you Matt Bevin. Another "genius" businessman.
d) He doesn't pay his workers.
My commentary: How does this work to Make America Great Again?
e) He set up a "university" that was a complete fraud.
My commentary: So solid, dependable and long term educational programs are obviously bigly important to Trump.
f) He gave an illegal campaign contribution to a Florida official (illegal because it came from Trump's non-profit foundation and immoral because of its implication) just as she was deciding whether to bring a case against said fraud university.
My commentary: This one speaks for itself. Slimy.
That's a disgusting list, but here's the stuff I don't usually get to discuss because it's easily dismissed by Trump fans as ancient history:

List #2:

a) Remember the federal housing discrimination suit, which he settled?

b) Did you know that he has been accused of tenant intimidation on Central Park South?
My commentary: These are people paying him rent that he is threatening because he can .... in order to get MORE rent money.
c) His wife Ivana said in a deposition that he raped her and his lawyer's defense was, "You can't rape your wife," which is not an accurate reading of the law in New York State.
My commentary: "What a dick."
d) Did you know that he asked his father to walk in and buy $3.5 million in chips from the Trump Castle when Donnie was short on cash? (Trump ended up paying a $30,000 fine for that because he got caught).
My commentary: That was a good business move if you are okay with slime bag moves. Stole 3.5 million MORE from Daddy and only paid a 30,000 fine?
e) Chief Cheeto Tiny Fingers bought $55,000 worth of copies of his own book, which he then gave to RNC delegates, which may be a violation of FEC law.
My commentary: So this was probably done to shuffle some money around somewhere so he could hide it from the tax man. Let me ask you this ... did you pay taxes last year? I did. It does not make him "smart" to avoid taxes. It makes him a wanna be dictator.
f) He praises Vladimir Putin’s leadership style, but ignores that he is a murderous, expansionist dictator.
My commentary: Real Americans see why this is treasonous.

This is not "libtard" pontificating. I don't think I belong to any party any more. This is all so frustrating.

This is not written from an elitist stance. I watched guys like this douchebag take good people's jobs because they COULD.

Do you have any answer, or do you just not care because, well, that's "how businessmen are supposed to act"?

Fact list researched on:

Speaking of crooked media

Folks - the distractions continue.

Hey Trump - if all news is fake, does that not include all your news too? Hypocrisy.

We're going to create jobs. I said that I will be the greatest jobs producer that God ever created, and I mean that. Trump -1/11/17.
Why is it always about "I" with this guy? You aren't doing this and haven't done any of your other stuff alone. Well, except for the illegal stuff - that was probably on your own. Quit talking and start doing. We don't need you to spike the ball before  you get to the end zone ... Leon Lett.

Trump is trying to make this about Meryl's speech because of two things:

1) It really is about the only thing he understands ... a discussion about TV/Movie people.
2) Pence and the other crooks are trying to slide all these sick and twisted people he's appointed to the cabinet past all the NORMAL and EXPECTED background checks.
Entities like "The Blaze" and writers like Matt Walsh are really going full bore on Meryl to trick GOP supporters into focusing on the WRONG things. "Obama was mean to the Christians."  "Obama was weak as a president." Get a new soundtrack please. If you understand diplomacy at all - he was handed a cards that forced us to tread lightly on the world stage. Come on folks. This is all playground stuff. They are duping you. Wake up. Keep church at church. Raise your family however you want --- but do NOT cast another single vote if you do not care to educate yourself on the real issues of running a country.  Abortion is NOT a public policy issue. It is newsworthy, emotive and sticky and you keep falling for it. Every freaking vote the propaganda pull toward the message of the alt right gets stronger and stronger. They are using your faith and your emotions against you to gain complete control over you. You will no longer be able to protect a fetus or worship at church if they get absolute power.

That's why the GOP tried to gut the Ethics Committee because the crooks KNEW that the ethics committee would require these people to be put through the same scrutiny that every modern cabinet member has faced.

It does not take a rocket scientist to understand that there's obviously something questionable in one or more of these appointment's background.

Who cares if you think the ethics committee is also made up of crooks? I don't care about any of the people involved in this really. The point is this is standard operating procedure for the government and it makes sense to normal people. Here's the official document from 2009 about the cabinet members background checks.  Oh and before you react to the source - I am not a Harry Reid supporter. This just happens to be the document the GOP leaders sent to him when Obama won the second term. The point is this ... Do the freaking background checks, put the cards out on the table and let the people decide if they can handle these crooks' faux pas.

Words like "revolution" do not usually come with higher paying jobs and wonderfully stable public policies.  Words like revolution usually mean bloodshed and a purpose-filled oppression of the masses (including you and me ... no matter what 'party') in the name of power and control.

I'm wasting my time. No one cares about logic anymore.

On Russia - Here's "the big deal"

Hypocrisy at its finest.

In the wake of September 11th the citizens of the United States supported the retaliation for the horrible attacks on American soil. That was necessary and accepted behavior by almost everyone at the time.

"Weapons of mass destruction". We were ALL on board with that claim. It was likely true too. We just could not act fast enough to validate the proof of these weapons. That's a whole different discussion.

The point is, our more "warring" citizens were very much in support of the WMD theory to give us a reason to fight.

Fast forward a decade or so and now the very same people DO NOT have faith in the same intelligence agencies about the Russian interference in the election. By all accounts, our intelligence community has vastly improved SINCE 9-11.

It's a matter of protectionism. It's a matter of selfishness. Again, for the Trump voters it's simply a matter of "we won and you lost". I submit that they are missing the whole point of American democratic notions.

From the NY Times --
“From the parts of the report I’ve seen,” said Rob Maness, a retired Air Force colonel who twice ran for Senate here as Tea Party favorite, “it seems silly.”
There are genuine concerns about Russia’s cyberoperations, he said, but the notion that they changed the outcome of the election was absurd. (The report made no determination on how they affected the election.)
Of the comments he had seen from fellow Trump supporters on Facebook and in emails, he added, “90 percent of them are like, ‘What’s the big deal?’”

Here's the big deal Mr. Tea Party. I read the declassified version of the report also.

The U.S. intelligence community made up of 16 independent agencies with party neutral ethics ... show that Russian President Vladimir Putin PERSONALLY ordered a campaign to influence the outcome of the 2016 U.S. presidential election, and that Mr. Putin aspired to help Donald Trump to victory as part of a broader ambition to undermine Western democracy.
The declassified version of the report said U.S. intelligence concluded the Russian government wanted to undermine public faith in the U.S. democratic process.

This SHOULD be a big deal to the "Real Patriots" like you Mr. Maness. A real patriot does not take foreign influence in the American democratic process so lightly - no matter the PERSONAL outcome won through the crime(s).

This one is even more frightening and full of hypocrisy:

In Louisiana, David Gubert, 56, ruminated (that means think David) on what it would mean if the Russians had gotten involved, and possibly even swung the election.

SIDEBAR:  David Gubert was arrested on September 22, 2016. He is 56 years old, . Gubert is charged with an offense by police near Washington, Louisiana.

Mr. Gubert came to this conclusion about the Russians interfering with OUR election.

“If that’s what it took,” he said, “I’m glad they did it.”

What David is saying is that "we won and you lost". What David is saying is that cheating is absolutely fine as long as my party wins the election. I am going to go out on a limb here and say that if the tables were turned and the Dems would have won the 271st electoral college vote he and the other Trumpsters would be in line looking to lynch Putin and the Russians.

Check out this video of Trump from 2013

Sorry Donald - this cannot be fake news. This is you talking to a camera about the Russian relationship. It's all there. Very revealing to people trying to look at things WITH LOGIC.

Really? Is this where we are in our country? If you believe that it is acceptable for another country to affect our election you are no longer loyal to America. I do not think I can make it any more plain that that.

What I am saying is that these playground ethics must stop. No matter who won we all need to take stock on what is happening. Our livelihoods are going away and we are voting them away for the sake of competition and the concepts of greed, power and control.

And to Mitch McConnell - You have been screwing Kentucky and my family directly since you were first elected. We get it. You hate everyone but yourself. For you to stymie investigation into this Russian interference is COMPLETELY UnAmerican and downright sociopathic. You do not deserve to be a leader because a leader is not afraid of the truth. You have lied to people's face about their jobs and I saw you do it. You have been the antithesis of a leader. We all have access to your slimy anti-middle class voting record but unfortunately most of your constituents do not care beyond a few wedge issues to cast their votes.

And to Rick Santelli -- what do you know SPECIFICALLY about hacking? Are you aware of something that you need to tell? You acted like you really had something to say but then all I hear are words and cliche' with a side order of "email server". Bring the facts or stop being a journalist. What it appears to me is that you are in this whole game for YOU and to  protect your giant dollars earned off the backs of others work. But that whole money for nothing is a completely different post.

On a brighter note, I find this hilarious.

A new low for the future leader of the United States

Pay attention folks.

The president elect just mocked an intelligence report that actually reads very differently than his very presidential tweets relay. I read it for myself. I suggest you do too and then draw your own conclusions. Keep in mind, the declassified version leaves out many of the actual technical details that really matter. There are many forms of "hacking" - but of course the president elect is an expert on all those.

He also called us "stupid" for not understanding how "yuge" and "great" a US/Russian conglomeration will be.

Don't lie to us and then call us stupid. In fact, a real professional probably should never use those words at all - not to mention put them in writing to be preserved forever.

Twitter always has been and continues to be a HORRIBLE idea. At no point should Twitter be something used as a tool to govern an entire country. Couple that with the fact that the 140 characters this idiot strings together often do not even make a complete sentence and you have a recipe that is indicative of the time in which we live.

Get ready folks.  You asked for change.

What we are going to get is an unprofessional, short-sighted, greedy and wholly inhumane set of "leaders". What that will breed is a nation-wide epidemic of social disobedience that could very well lead to anarchy which is PRECISELY what they want.

All our lives are going to change for the worse unless somebody or some group wakes up an realizes that this is NOT the change we need to push the country forward.

It does not make you WEAK to be honest, kind and helpful in life. To me, it makes people very weak to rely on lies, greed, violence, religion, fear and guns to enforce their will.

Not anti religion - simply facts from men smarter than me

The shift in US voting behaviors can be traced, in part, to a strong influence of religious organizations; the principal of these being the "no-win possible" abortion laws. Another part of the voting shift is related to the 'Constitutionals' and their demand of adherence to the 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution.

Here is where it gets interesting to me. The same people demanding that we follow the constitution about the 2nd Amendment are generally the same people that blatantly ignore ALL the statements and guidelines set forth by the founding fathers that say the new United States should operate with church and state being separate.

The next time you vote please consider voting on the real issues that are "state" matters. Protect your roads, your jobs, your health care, the military and your children's education.  The people in power are using religion / faith / spirituality against us. If we continue to allow these power mongers to take our way of life it is HIGHLY likely that the freedom of religion will go away because they will eventually demand that we bow to them and them alone. Don't laugh or scoff - because history shows it has happened MANY times before. If you give the power players an advantage they will find a way to make us all peasants/servants. You give them the advantage by allowing them to take your livelihood.

The separation of church and state is one of the cornerstones of America’s foundation. The politically motivated have convinced us they are in favor of making Christianity the state religion, an action that would threaten the rest of the foundation that makes up the Constitution. In reality, they do not care about these beliefs but rather the control of the people THROUGH these beliefs. These candidates running as 'conservatives' contend that the Founding Fathers dreamed of making America a Christian state at the expense of those who practice other religions or none at all.  That is NOT true. It's a power play folks. I hate to burst your collective bubbles.

I'll leave you to read some of the quotes from the founding fathers. They were religious folks. They were NOT against religion - they just knew that religion's power could be used for evil when mixed in the affairs of the state.

Here are some quotes from the Founding Fathers.

“Of all the animosities which have existed among mankind, those which are caused by a difference of sentiments in religion appear to be the most inveterate and distressing, and ought to be deprecated. I was in hopes that the enlightened and liberal policy, which has marked the present age, would at least have reconciled Christians of every denomination so far that we should never again see the religious disputes carried to such a pitch as to endanger the peace of society.”

~Founding Father George Washington, letter to Edward Newenham, October 20, 1792

“The United States of America have exhibited, perhaps, the first example of governments erected on the simple principles of nature; and if men are now sufficiently enlightened to disabuse themselves of artifice, imposture, hypocrisy, and superstition, they will consider this event as an era in their history. Although the detail of the formation of the American governments is at present little known or regarded either in Europe or in America, it may hereafter become an object of curiosity. It will never be pretended that any persons employed in that service had interviews with the gods, or were in any degree under the influence of Heaven, more than those at work upon ships or houses, or laboring in merchandise or agriculture; it will forever be acknowledged that these governments were contrived merely by the use of reason and the senses.”

~John Adams, “A Defense of the Constitutions of Government of the United States of America” 1787-1788

“The Government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion.”

~1797 Treaty of Tripoli signed by Founding Father John Adams

“Thirteen governments [of the original states] thus founded on the natural authority of the people alone, without a pretense of miracle or mystery, and which are destined to spread over the northern part of that whole quarter of the globe, are a great point gained in favor of the rights of mankind.”

~Founding Father John Adams, “A Defense of the Constitutions of Government of the United States of America” (1787-88)

“We should begin by setting conscience free. When all men of all religions shall enjoy equal liberty, property, and an equal chance for honors and power we may expect that improvements will be made in the human character and the state of society.”

~Founding Father John Adams, letter to Dr. Price, April 8, 1785

“I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibit the free exercise thereof, thus building a wall of separation between church and state.”

~Founding Father Thomas Jefferson, letter to the Baptists of Danbury, Connecticut, 1802

“In every country and in every age, the priest has been hostile to liberty. He is always in alliance with the despot, abetting his abuses in return for protection to his own. It is error alone that needs the support of government. Truth can stand by itself.”

~Founding Father Thomas Jefferson, in a letter to Horatio Spofford, 1814

“I am for freedom of religion and against all maneuvers to bring about a legal ascendancy of one sect over another.”

~Founding Father Thomas Jefferson, letter to Elbridge Gerry, January 26, 1799

“History, I believe, furnishes no example of a priest-ridden people maintaining a free civil government. This marks the lowest grade of ignorance of which their civil as well as religious leaders will always avail themselves for their own purposes.”

~Founding Father Thomas Jefferson: in letter to Alexander von Humboldt, December 6, 1813

“The civil government functions with complete success by the total separation of the Church from the State.”

~Founding Father James Madison, 1819, Writings, 8:432, quoted from Gene Garman, “Essays In Addition to America’s Real Religion”

“And I have no doubt that every new example will succeed, as every past one has done, in shewing that religion & Govt will both exist in greater purity, the less they are mixed together.”

~Founding Father James Madison, letter to Edward Livingston, July 10, 1822

“Every new and successful example of a perfect separation between ecclesiastical and civil matters is of importance.”

~Founding Father James Madison, letter, 1822

No backup plan ... really?

So here is a quote that I read today that is a little disturbing but also revealing.

  • "The minute you have a back-up plan, you've admitted you are not going to succeed."
Elizabeth Holmes - Founder and CEO of Theranos
                  - a blood testing company in California.

This is indicative of our times. It is not only prudent but forward-thinking to have a back-up plan. One comment I really like came from Ed Morrison when he responded to the quote with this:

  • "The minute you don't have a backup plan, you've lost your agility."

I will allow you to do your own research on Ms. Holmes. Suffice to say that she could certainly benefit from some contingency planning.

Let's make this really simple to understand. Say you do not want to pay a plumber to do a simple plumbing fix under your kitchen sink. I do this all the time. The back-up plan for me in this case is to have the plumber on speed dial in the case that I mess something up. I've had to use that plan two times in my remodeling efforts. Worked like a charm.

Nothing wrong with a little planning and back-up planning.

How does this add up?

How do asinine moves like this "Make America Great Again" ?

This proves what questions I had about the types of "jobs" being promised by those in power.

Today - Matt Bevin of Kentucky put this action into play. Right to work ? Why don't you crooks call it what it is -- "Removal of the Middle Class"

From Jen Hayden at
ON RTW States : According to the most recently available statistics, workers make $5,791 less annually in RTW states than in free-bargaining states and median household income is $6,568 lower. RTW states also have a higher concentration of jobs in low-wage occupations than do states that allow free-bargaining. There are lower rates of health insurance coverage in RTW states, and fewer employees get their health insurance coverage from their employer in RTW states. The rate of workplace deaths is 54% higher in RTW states, and poverty and infant mortality rates are higher in those states. RTW states also invest significantly less money in education per pupil (31.3% less) than do free-bargaining states. Lower wages also result in reduced tax bases for local and state governments.
So, Governor Matt "H." Bevin is holding a hearing today on fair wages and a proposed “Right to Work” law in Kentucky. As you might imagine, union members (also known as Kentucky voters), showed up to attend the meeting. To their surprise, they were denied entry into the hearing room. Why? Because the Americans for Prosperity, a conservative advocacy group founded by conservative billionaire political activist David Koch, booked the room for a breakfast preceding the hearing and never left. The workers whose wages are on the line have been frozen out.

Folks - Billionaires have NO business determining OUR public policies. They are only out to protect their stockpiles of cash. They cannot possibly identify with everyday Americans. How is this hard to understand?

Bevin, If you are "man" enough to cut these working folks wages you certainly should be man enough to stand in front of them and give them reasons as to why.  What a wuss. Of course, the fact remains that none of your reasoning on any of your decisions really benefits common folks. You sell it to them as "tax cuts" which literally amounts to a net loss if they have less earnings.

Bevin is not giving the working class a choice about being in a union - most folks want to be in the union because of the wages and some sense of  security. He is giving corporations the ability to lower wages by telling job applicants that they have a better chance of getting a "job" if they refuse to join the union. This is a slippery slope - I've been through similar situations in my work as have other people in my family.

This all sounds like an awesome way to start 2017. Great job folks. You are certainly making things awesome for the voting public.

If we do not make smarter decisions the way of life for the common hard working people will be gone ... and subsequently the country we once loved will fade away. No middle class ... declining consumer spending ... rising interest rates ... devalued currency ... collapse under the weight of the debt. And get over yourself -- the debt is not one party or one presidents fault ... it's all of them combined. This is all not hard to  understand if you separate yourself from the two party system and then consider the powers at play - the rich vs the poor.

Get your heads on straight people. You voted these clowns into office - now make them work for you rather than work against you. Be loud. They will not listen to me. I've tried.

Want more proof that these "jobs" are going to be real stinkers compared to a nice living? Look at all the state governors bulldozing the workforce by signing in 'Right to Work' ... which is slang for we want to kill unions because they reduce our profits. Couple these moves with a real douche of a choice for Labor Secretary and you have a recipe for 8 bucks an hour or less across the board - no matter the industry or skill.

Communications Workers (CWA) President Chris Shelton added, “Puzder’s record provides a troubling roadmap as to what he would attempt – or choose to ignore – as Secretary of Labor.“Puzder has a record of public statements and actions,” Shelton said, “that demonstrates why he is a poor choice to head the agency responsible for promoting ‘the welfare of wage earners, job seekers and retirees.’ The Department of Labor is supposed to be on the side of working people when it comes to keeping jobs safe, stopping employer abuse and safeguarding workers’ rights on the job. That’s what working people need.”Finally, Christine Owens, executive director of the National Employment Law Project, said “Nominating Puzder to run the department is like giving the fox the keys to the hen-house.”

Here's the bottom line:

The politicians have tricked all of us for far too long. They make us believe that they are running for office because they care about the things that we say we care about. Unfortunately, that is not the case. They only care about what serves rich people and large corporations. All of this other stuff about the wedge issues  is just smoke being blown up our holes.  My whole point continues to be that we need to quit fighting against one another over a few issues that LITERALLY have nothing to do with protecting our livelihoods.

Leadership qualities - random thoughts

1. Be forward thinking.
  • Think one year, five years, ten years, fifty years and one hundred years into the future. Fight the urge to live in the moment. Decisions based on the current are generally not complete decisions.
2. Apply personal examples.
  • You have failed. We have all failed. Let's learn from those failures. Do NOT repeat failed behaviors because it is comfortable.
3. Work and talk to inspire.
  • Your people watch you. Do the work and speak to them so that they are inspired by your words and efforts.
4. Professional and solid behavior is contagious.
  • People want to believe that their leader is smarter and more refined than they are in their current state. Do not let them down.
5. Be consistent.
  • A leadership role is not one  that allows for "roller coaster" behavior. Level and steady promotes confidence.
6. Ask for help and input.
  • You do not know everything. No one does. When information is offered take it ... no matter the source of the information. If you do not know something, part of your leadership role is differing to the experts.
7. Know yourself and seek continuous self-improvement.
  • If you are starting to come off the rails, which we all do, knowing yourself is the best way to avoid roller coaster behavior. Know that you are not perfect and constantly seek personal growth.
8. Be technically and tactically proficient.
  • Do NOT throw your hands up in the air when a new concept or theory comes into the paradigms in which you currently operate. Get your experts and learn the new concepts from them. Many leaders have failed by living in a bubble.
9. Seek responsibility and take responsibility.
  • If you step in "it" ... then admit it. Grow from it. Do not repeat the failure. Also monitor your co-leaders and make sure they are doing what is required.
10. Know your people and look out for their welfare.
  • You MUST connect to  the people at every level. It is an endless cycle of work. Guess what?  That's part of the job of being a leader. Roll your sleeves up and do that work. If you protect and care for  people at all levels - all levels of that organization have NO CHOICE but to back and validate your leadership.
11. Keep your people informed.
  • If stuff is going to hell in a hand basket - then say that. Do NOT sugar coat the messages for the sake of saving face OR share holder wealth. Besides, committed team members or share holders have  the responsibility to help out where they can when the organization has  struggles.
12. Ensure the task is understood, supervised, and accomplished.
  • Are you giving clear directives and stating expected outcomes? Do you have clear milestones in your road map? Do you even have a road  map?
13. Develop a sense of responsibility among your people.
  • Every role in an organization is important. Do all your people know those roles? If they know the role then it is much easier to  build a vision of the responsibilities  of that role.
14. Train your people as a team.
  • If you are not learning your organization is dying. If your team does not see how they all fit together you do not have an organization.
15. Make sound and timely decisions.
  • Decisions are not shouted from the digital roof top without sources and reasons. If you have a responsibility to each role in the organization you must consider those roles AND the outside forces prior to shouting baseless directives. Get your team together, look at the information you have and then make a decision and cite the reasons.
16. Employ your work unit in accordance with its capabilities.
  • Do you have the right people  in the right roles? Do you have the roles divided reasonably and logically? Again, do you have the expected outcomes documented for each of the roles?

Here are some questions for the two people that read my meandering thoughts. They are mainly the things I am thinking about leading into the new year.

1) Would I work for a boss that treated my job, my time, my livelihood and my family like they are pawns in a game?

2) Would I continue to take advice from someone that I have caught PURPOSELY misleading me?

3) Am I willing to do REAL and LOGICAL research in order to protect me and my family's future?

4) I often think about the wealthiest person that I know. Where do their real loyalties lie? Where would their loyalties lie in the absence of governmental structures and a basic set of laws?

5) Do I like fresh drinking water?

6) Do I like having a little extra money to spend on the weekends?

7) More importantly, do I really need weekends or days off in general?

8) If I cannot believe the news and cannot take what is said for what is said rather than some nuanced version of what was said then what am I to believe?

9) If I cannot ask logical questions without being labeled as a troublemaker then how do I remedy issues that I find in doing my research?

10) What sacrifices am I willing to make to my current lifestyle to maintain the safety of my family?

I think it is very troubling at this stage in my life to have questions like this floating in my head.

No, it is not because of who "lost" the election. No, it is not from watching too much of "news A" or "news B".  It is not from surfing the internet because that is just frustrating as hell right now. It is from doing actual research on the information to which I have access. There are some truly disturbing things happening and that are going to happen in the coming years.

Folks, the fact remains that this world is not a joke. The world is not a game. Just because Jesus is coming back we cannot put our heads in the sand and wait. At least I do not have any desire to do that. I want to continue to learn. I want to continue to grow my knowledge. I want to keep helping people. I want to keep teaching.

We are letting the wrong folks take control in the world. Sure, they are celebrating (because they are in fact winning) and they are trying to get you to jump on the train and celebrate with them. I cannot and will not believe that many powerful people in our world have "the people's" interest at heart. I do not even think we are a consideration other than for our use as pawns in their control.

I have been around long enough to see elections. The division created by this election is "unpresidented" and regardless of what side of the fence you are on ... neither side has the greener grass.

Since when is it acceptable to be unprofessional as a leader? I have never really wanted to be in a role designated as "leadership" because I am more of a "doer" and I also realize that I am probably a bit too abrasive and straight forward for some other personality types. Some of the most unprofessional people I have encountered in the real business world either do no make it long in that role or are a cancer to the organization as a whole.

Since when is it acceptable for a leader to make the truth a scavenger hunt? Trust me, I know that the politicians have always played games but now we are talking about a shift to it being somehow acceptable to lie when it serves to distract from the real issues.

I guess my takeaway from my January 1st rambling is simple. I have to do  what I  can in my sphere of influence to try and motivate people to be honest, rise above the purposeful distractions, be helpful to other people and to fight for all our livelihoods. Perhaps as Americans we have been on cruise control for too long.

++++ UPDATE ++++

The evidence just keeps building. Statements like these MUST stop. Govern toward solutions and stop being concerned only with ONE side: This one is from some congressman named King that wants ethics reform ... but does not want to consider both sides of the issues. Ethical?

If the people have weighed in on the issues and there are good ideas from your constituents then fight for the ideas rather than the party. It is amazing to me that this is so difficult for adults to understand.

""I'm concerned that now we have Republicans criticizing Republicans," King said. "We need to stay away from that."
